Glen Sather, a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, recently announced his retirement from his role as senior advisor to the owner and alternate governor of the New York Rangers. Sather, who is 80 years old, began his tenure with the Rangers in 2000 and served as both the team’s president and general manager.

Prior to his time with the Rangers, Sather achieved incredible success as the general manager of the Edmonton Oilers. During his time with the Oilers, he led the team to five Stanley Cup championships, an impressive feat that solidified his reputation as a visionary in the sport.
