MMA Fighter Bryce Mitchell Balances Life Inside and Outside the Octagon

Bryce Mitchell, also known as “Thug Nasty,” is not your average UFC fighter. When he’s not training or competing, Mitchell retreats to his farm in Arkansas where he leads a completely different lifestyle. One unique aspect of Mitchell’s farm is the repurposing of an old MMA training cage. Instead of letting it go to waste, Mitchell transformed the inside of the cage into a fully functional chicken coop. Complete with nesting boxes, roosting bars, and a roof, the cage now serves as a home for his feathered friends. Not stopping there, Mitchell also utilized the space below the cage by turning it into a pig pen. This innovative use of the old cage showcases Mitchell’s creativity and practicality when it comes to his farm life.

In a recent Instagram post, Mitchell offered a glimpse into his life on the farm, showcasing his new chicken coop and pig pen. The video not only highlighted the cozy living spaces he created for his animals but also gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how he takes care of them. While Mitchell may be a fierce competitor inside the Octagon, his gentle and nurturing side shines through when he tends to his livestock. This contrast between his professional fighting career and his peaceful life on the farm demonstrates the multidimensional nature of Mitchell’s personality.

Despite finding success in his farm life, Mitchell’s recent performances inside the Octagon have been less than stellar. With losses in two of his last three fights, including a devastating first-round knockout at UFC 296, Mitchell is facing challenges in his professional fighting career. Following the brutal loss, Mitchell made the decision to take a step back from MMA and focus on recovery and spending time with his family on the farm. This self-imposed hiatus reflects Mitchell’s commitment to finding balance between his career and personal life.

Bryce Mitchell’s story goes to show that MMA fighters are more than just athletes. They are complex individuals with passions and interests outside of the fighting world. Mitchell’s ability to upcycle and repurpose an old training cage for his farm is a testament to his resourcefulness and creativity. While he may be struggling in the Octagon, Mitchell’s resilience and dedication to both his farm and his fighting career are admirable. As he navigates through the ups and downs of professional fighting, Mitchell continues to find solace and fulfillment in his life on the farm.
