The 2024 F1 Season: Qualifying Preview

The 2024 Formula 1 season has kicked off in Bahrain with Lewis Hamilton leading a Mercedes 1-2 at the end of FP2. The program will run for 90 minutes, covering qualifying and wrapping up the major talking points of the race weekend. Throughout the 2024 season, Channel 4 will provide highlights of every qualifying and race for each event, available on their on-demand catch-up services.

Live radio coverage of every practice, qualifying, and race for the 2024 F1 season will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC 5 Live Sports Extra, or via the BBC Sport website. Coverage of Bahrain GP qualifying will begin at 4:00 pm GMT on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and the BBC Sounds app.

Dry and mild conditions are expected for the start of qualifying in Bahrain, with temperatures around 18 degrees Celsius. The forecast indicates a low chance of rain and light winds, providing ideal conditions for an exciting and competitive qualifying session in the desert.
