The San Francisco Giants made a bold move by acquiring the 2021 Cy Young winner Robbie Ray from the Seattle Mariners. This trade involved outfielder Mitch Haniger and right-hander Anthony DeSclafani being sent to Seattle in exchange for Ray. One major concern surrounding Robbie Ray is his recent Tommy John surgery and subsequent recovery. At 32 years old, Ray is facing a challenging road to return to his previous form. By trading Haniger, the Giants have opened up an outfield/DH slot.
