Model Nina Agdal, known as Logan Paul’s fiancée, has taken legal action against Dillon Danis, Paul’s upcoming boxing opponent, for “revenge porn.” The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, accuses Danis of conducting a smear campaign against Agdal on social media platforms. The complaint alleges that Danis posted a sexually explicit photograph of Agdal without her consent, causing immense distress for Agdal and prompting her to seek legal protection.
In her complaint, Agdal claims that Danis violated the “revenge porn statute” of the United States, also known as the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization, enacted in 2022. Furthermore, Agdal refers to a New Jersey statute against the invasion of privacy. The legal filing argues that Danis posted an explicit photograph of Agdal, displaying full frontal nudity, without her consent. The complaint further states that this action was part of an ongoing cyber harassment and bullying campaign against Agdal, characterized by hundreds of crude posts on Danis’ social media accounts.
Agdal’s attorneys, Joseph B. Shumofsky and Linxuan Yan of Sills Cummins & Gross P.C., highlight that the explicit photograph was taken more than a decade ago during a romantic encounter without Agdal’s consent. This violation of her privacy has caused significant emotional distress. After the threat of cancellation from fight promoter Misfits Boxing, Danis removed the post. However, due to his subsequent threats to release more compromising material, Agdal obtained a temporary restraining order against Danis, pending further litigation.
Beyond the restraining orders, Agdal’s legal team is seeking damages amounting to no less than $150,000. This requested compensation encompasses the profits Danis has gained from the social media posts related to Agdal. The lawsuit also names anyone actively involved in assisting Danis in his cyber harassment. Agdal’s legal representatives aim to hold Danis accountable for his actions and to ensure that he faces the consequences of his behavior.
Dillon Danis, 30, responded confidently to the lawsuit, declaring, “I will beat Logan and this case.” Refusing to let the legal battle overshadow his boxing match against Logan Paul, Danis remains determined to prove his talent in the ring. On the other hand, Paul’s team opted not to comment on the ongoing legal proceedings. ESPN sought to obtain a statement from Agdal’s legal team, but they had not responded as of the time of reporting.
Dillon Danis, a former Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion, has competed for Bellator MMA. As a seasoned training partner of UFC superstar Conor McGregor, Danis has established himself within the combat sports community. The New Jersey native has not participated in any combat sport events since his MMA fight with Bellator in 2019.
Logan Paul, 28, first gained recognition as a YouTube personality before venturing into the world of combat sports. He has engaged in high-profile events such as an exhibition boxing match against Floyd Mayweather and multiple professional wrestling matches with the WWE. While the legal dispute involving his fiancée unfolds, Paul remains focused on his upcoming fight against Danis, scheduled for October 14 in Manchester, England.
Nina Agdal’s lawsuit against Dillon Danis sheds light on the detrimental effects of revenge porn and cyber harassment. Agdal’s legal team seeks justice for the invasion of her privacy and the emotional distress caused by Danis’ actions. With a temporary restraining order in place, Agdal’s fight for justice continues, while the legal battle unfolds in the courts.
